So how did the inverted flying go? I am curious. I have been practicing that on the sim a lot and feel I want to give it a go now. My Nexus is just a hover/fff/mild acro ship. I will be more likely tho try with the electric since it is ccpm. I have read a lot of the jr helis. They are pretty nice and the 30 has a 50 conversion kit for when you want to get bigger for a decent price. I will probably look at a 60 size for my next nitro.

Oh sweet, last description I read on that was overpowered sports car with incredible agility. sounds fun. I am going to remove the training hoop and put some pontoons on now. the hoop will be for setting up the quick (doing it all myself this time, but will get Jimmy to check it). Will be a couple weeks before it arrives anyway, and I need a gyro and servos too. When I look it over, I will know for sure. Dam hooked, these things are too much fun. Phil, I admit it, I was wrong, you were sooooo right. I just don't much find time for the other stuff now (Just saving my C4 for a buggy for next year, 2 servos and a dom to play with otherwise, I want more helis.

Got me an Excell Graphite SE 60 with many Bergen hop ups. If it isn't graphite, it's aluminum basically. I got the deal working on this and he had a CnC'd head, some landing gear and extra parts I also got from him. I will just need main and tail blades, a tail boom and a canopy. Of course electronics and motor too. Got lots of time to get it flying, but I can drool at the thing on my shelves. I am happy with my flying model now. and I have the electric, it is closer to running. I don't have many rc's left anymore either haha. they all became helis. I have the Serpent Vector left to work with but probably trading it for a hacker setup for my Quick e (say it fast haha) Here's the beast..... www.rcuniverse.com/market/item.cfm?itemID=6098 is where it started and I added rotor head with all CNC metal flybar arms, bell mixers, flybar, tempiest paddels, and any extra parts plus tuff strut landing skids. It will be a while before I see it. Somebody helping me out. Been getting a lot of help from the forum people at RR and now finding this rcuniverse it is way too cool. I am getting it in pcs basically but waiting to ship it when tey are all paid for and have al the stuff. Hey anybody want a cheap electric? I bid and nobody else seems to. eve at his full price it is a good deal, but it will go less. A Kyosho Concept SE Electric. Everything but tx/rx. This too is like 32 inches long but based on the gas one. Thought I would mention it in case someone was looking. www.rcuniverse.com/market/item.cfm?itemId=6560I won't go any higher than my bid, dont now what reserve is but I bet it is above what I bid hehe. (pm me if you are curious )

Plasma and I found a place to fly helis today even though it was raining. Flew 4 or 5 tankfuls before we called it a day. Now the rain will never stop us.
Chop, Zoom, Chop.

I had a copy of ray's heli manual brought over to me, the bible haha. I have been reading ever since. Great info. I ripped my heli apart last night again. I had some low level vibration. Most of it had been tuned out externally but a littl vibration just at the beggining of hover drove me nuts. I found the guides for the tail drive shaft had moved inside the tail and the shaft was vibrating in the boom. Should fly even better now. Kevin did some film clips with his camera. They were .mov files. I took all the clips, joined them together then converted to win media with compression. 78 mb to 13 with music. was fun making it.. www3.telus.net/SlideCentral/Pics/Movie.zip

What a great day heli flying on Sunday.
Marc has mastered his forward loops and is looking for new worlds to conquer. He also has a cool vertical stall move where he jams it into reverse pitch at vertical stall and goes ripping off in the opposite direction that you'd expect.
I ran out of fuel in the middle of a loop about 50 feet up, but got her right side up and autorotated it safely down. WHEW!!! Did some loops, rolls, split esses, and a couple of hover flips. I was sooooo pumped.
Ben did his first roll too.
George had his Airwolf Shuttle out complete with lights and retracts. Very cool.
Lots of excitement. Yahooooo!
Oh yeah, we're famous now. Marc, Brandon & I got our picture in the Coquitlam Now when a reporter was out at the flying field after the land slide on Pipeline Road.

Yahoo.. Heli flying tomorrow again. Got a new IMZ 50 engine I'm trying. Supposed to be the highest power 50 ever. It's got a reed valve and a slide valve carb. It has awesome vertical zoom

I had the evo out for a couple days this week and got it broken in a bit. I had to turn the dual rates down, thing is freakin responsive. Only an os 46 in mine but this is night and day from the nexus. those 600 mm cf blades sound awesome too huh? they really chop that air. I need some more fuel before I can go any farther.
Enjoy the day flying guys. Some day when I get wheels (read beater) again, I will come join you.

Time to try out a governor. Supposed to be the schiznit for 3D.
Got a little inverted hang time today in the middle of a loop. A liitle scary but I'm starting to get used to it. My IMZ engine is breaking in now and is stronger every day. I can't believe the climb out and how smooth it runs. It was worth every penny. I love it.

Do you stock the GV1? I would like to get one soon myself. I am just going out right now to burn more fuel to get the motor broken in. Jimmy brought me a gallon of cool power and a flight box last night (he prefers powermaster fuel) .
So there's 2 things I need...
GV1 and a power panel for the box...

I am still aprehensive but I will definately try going inverted with this heli. It so different. On the sim there is no fear of crash and I can do all kinds of stuff. I just have to get used to this thing. It is running good, 4 tanks in. Going out to fly a tank or 2 more as soon as the batteries are charged up. I got a used csm heading hold gyro. It looks a little big I guess but it works amazingly well. I was up about 200 feet yesterday and the wind gusts were intense.
well off to have some fun. I have a few gallons to catch up to you guys.
