hey all...very new to the RC scene and am looking at purchasing a RTR e-zilla or e-maxx...any thoughts? i hear the e-zilla is more durable but the aftermarket hop-up parts for the e-maxx make it a better vehicle to play around with more options.
any thoughts or advice would be appreciated.

out of the box the e-zilla is a better truck. I'm not sure that after you spend money on the e-maxx is will become better... it will be better than when it was stock for sure.... but if you want to go fast buy a Novak brushless system for either truck.

thanks for the insight. what is the general availability of hop-up parts for the e-zilla? are most of the upgrades, other than motors, generally available? Being one who likes to tinker, change and upgrade, it would be nice to be able to modify the e-zilla from time to time.

I looked at it and the only thing I would change it the upper arms to make it adjustable camber and the Motor (brushless). Everything else is strong enough to take what you throw at it.

ok...bought the e-maxx and am happy with it. thanks for all the advice. I'm not sure what the fella's name was at the shop when i went to pick it up but he was also helpful and answered all my questions. I have a question however on what came with the RTR...there are 4 bags with plastic parts that have no instructions to go with them. I am making a big assumption that they are spacers of some kind for the suspension but I am not sure. does anyone have any ideas? Each bag has a number of the same parts in it. The parts have '1mm' markings and look like rings with an open end. The other parts are small discs with a couple of holes drilled into them. Any clue?!?

The person at the store was me.
The open ended parts are ridr height adjuster.
The part with one center hole and 1 or 2 or 3 holes are shock pistons.

nice. thanks again for your help. are there websites where I might find some instructions on how to install them? Pretty sure I can figure out the ride height adjuster but the shock pistons i am not too sure about....btw, the batteries you sold me for the controller are too big...i put some regular 'AA's in it and they fit fine...
