Hey, I finally got my slow stick up and runing and took it out the first sunny break that we had today. It was a bit windy but I managed to get a few minutes in. This plane just seems to flies itself, way easier than that firebird junk! I have an IPS 400. Im looking for a new micro receiver though, something with 4-6 channels. Thanks! www.rcpics.net/view_single.php?medid=54468

hey philip
I had the one with a smaller motor. they are easy. I took mine up first and had steering backwards but still landed it and fixed. the 400 I bet would be more fun.

WOW!!!! I took the slow stick out just after 8 today. The wind dies down at sunset. I started out doing some slow circles and i was having a blast! I re-broke (tried to fix it with junky epoxy earlier) my landing gear but i wasnt ready to go home yet so I decided to hand launch it! I thought i would worry about langing later lol. Hand launches were easy and slow. I eventually gained some confidence and was pulling some loops and even consecutive loops. I even managed to catch the plane in my HAND! I must have seemed like a mad man chassing after a big red plane lol. I was about to bring her down for a catch but i decided to do a stall. My battery died just as I was at the top of the stall and i was too low to fully recover. The only this that broke was the propeller! No video this time but im planning on going again tomorrow so I will make a 5-10 min video. Heres a video of my Stick and the prop saver, its saved me atleast 5 props!

With all this track trouble I have started out in RC planes a while ago. IT'S GREAT!!! You can pick up everything you need to fly including a peak charger for less than 200 dollars. If anyone wants to try out i would recommend a nice slow flyer like a slow stick. The big plus side is that you dont have to join a club or anything to fly. Everyone can try RC flight! ;D
