runryder.com is my favourite heli site... rcuniverse.com has good info www.rcgroups.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=42first look at the necessary mods that need doing right away before you take it out and crash. I had to do a number of things to my zoom 400 to prepare it for use. I am sorry I can't tell you more as I have not worked with the hb cp

yeah i think om going to do some flights today. im pretty sure that my pitch is backwards though(forward and backward tilt) but i cant find a way to reverse it with this confuzing radio all of the servos are mixed because of the collective pitch but the HB manual says to go to the ccpm menu and reverse it from +60 to -60. ive looked through the radio manual but cant find anything, any tips?

ok... i think ive figured it out, ive plugged my elevator servo were the aileron should be and vise versa, this has made the swashplate move properly. Now im just tryin to stay hovering and getting the trims right. i still have the wobbling problem though...

I plan on doing some flying tomorrow, and I am also going to stop by Racetech. give me a call Phillip. 604-572-1013. we can meet up and figure things out. what radio do you have?
you might need to go into the initial setup screen when turning radio on, to be able to turn ccpm on. I know I have to do that with my jr (I have had a 652 and now a 662) but I have worked with futaba and airtronics a bit too.
with ccpm you have to make sure all the servos work together and even before trying to fly. it could cause serious problems. the wobble is probably tracking or headspeed is too low for amount of pitch but hard to tell without being there. I'b be glad to meet up and help out. now that I have wheels again, it's not a problem. Barry

Watch out.
I have put together one and flown justa little bit and they show in the intructions the gyro being mounted in the wrong direction. I forget what markings are on the gyro but as I recall you have to rotate the gyro 90 degrees for it to work properly.

yeah i just figured out that gyro mounting, took me a while but i finally tried messing around with gyro locations but finally figured it out. Now it just slides to the left on take off but that can be trimmed out so everything seems fine for now. by the way are you planing on flying tomorrow? i dont think il be able to make it because of school and martial arts we should take out the helis some time, i could use a few tips. thanks a lot. ive set the radio to ccpm and the right setting now (airtronics RD6000 super radio)

Ya, I am going to do a little flying tomorrow. the heli drifting left on take off is normal. you need to add some right input on take off then set the trims to hover after it gets up (well not literally setting the trims WHILE you fly, but you get the idea). I hope my stuff for the dolphin shows up so I can set that up to fly. I have to meet with the mngr tomorrow where I have transferred to but that will only take 30 mins. I'll probably swing by the house and load up the helis after that and head to Racetech. I have never flown at the field. might go there. I have to set up the evo as I haven't touched it since the gyro and tail servo change, and now it has new blades so should be a beast. man I haven't flown the evo in over a month.
