Hey have any of you flown the new Hirobo Lama with the dual rotating blades???
I saw one fly today. It's definitly stable. Needed to be trimmed out but it was super stable. Just like the orginal version on a cord but this one is now cordless. It comes with everything to fly including a LiPoly batterey.
I'm hopin to fly it on Monday if not sooner.

the one with the cord and the newer one without the cord is an EXTREMELY stable helicopter. RaceTech if they haven;t tried I highly recommend it. It's an excellent beginner helicopter as it is stable in the air and replacement blades are cheap. I'll try to get a lil vid of it flying, or at least some pics. Altech and Megatech I think are the only 2 distrubitors right now for this helicopter.

there are some nice carbon blades you can get for it as well. I almost bought one but a lot of the guys said it gets boring fast (tethered version). the toy one I posted has dual blades as well and is based on the proxyflier. there is a thread at rcgroups all about hop ups for it and they are getting pretty long flights with better batteries.
I'd consider this one but still not sold on it as it is for docile flying and I want to start trying some aerobatics. as a learning tool, it would be awesome and for practicing nose in and stuff like that.

yea the lama is fairly docile but for a beginner pilot it is an excellent choice.

I was thinking for living room practice landings on tv and tables (and to freak the bird out. I saw videos of it flying. some link I saw at rcu to a france distributor.

Well I don;t have a digital video camera, but my regular digital camera will take something like lil 30 second clips. I'll get one of my buddy's to record it while I fly. That or I'll just put the camera on a tripod and fly around. Gimme a couple of days. I'm busy cleaning house and fixin stuff cuz I'm in the process of movin, while still working full time.

Be careful, there are a lot of lama clones out there.
I am sure they are pretty nice as well, I've flown one of the lama clones when I saw it in jethobbies store in richmond. Very twichy and unfortunatly I crashed it because it got out of ranged, I felt my HB V2 was much more stable (antenna was wrapped up or something). Its about 300CDN?
But I think the real Hirobo Lama should perform better according to many that bought one. But I think its too expensive for me.

I had the hirobo xrb. it was a hoot. I went through a lot of blades but I could get it to funnel in the mall (where I work, best place to fly as I had a ton of room).
I didn't have enough room in the shop and in the house the stupid bird wanted to fight it so I didn't fly in the house. I traded it and $200 for a brushless motor, controller and new 8,000 mah lipo for my eco 8
