Well we had a great day thanks to every one that gave Up a beautiful day just to do some work on the track
We got most of all the dirt moved just 4 or 6 wheel barrels of dirt out side the Loop wall the left side is totally defined now just one or two little things to do on that side of the track. Drainage is for the most part all done Just need some small finishing to it so cars won’t throw the rocks up all over the track And the left side just needs to get some lane definition to it but this is all stuff That can get done during the week days we will be racing next Saturday let’s hope for Weather like we had this Saturday
Thanks again to everyone that came out this week to help with the track See you all next Saturday

The track is amazing. even though it was dry, it wasn't that dusty on saturday. I like this new dirt.

Nice and thanks Ben.
Seb, those dif gears weren't even close. I just opened the cases tonight. I didn't have to remove them from the package even lol. I'll just swap them for something else.

Eric L. went to the track today and installed a removable wall where you come out of pit lane... He also installed payed for the 30 foot long pit lane upper board where the cars sit. Eric is the one who is running the buggy with green flames.
Barry and I tested out the track a bit today... it was fun, I almost went through a whole gallon of fuel.
The surface is packed hard and is quite smooth.
For now there aren't any more huge track projects until it's time to put the sprinkler system under the track surface... that should be very kool. Soon the grass will come up and we'll get some pictures done and the new camrc.ca web site will be up with even more pictures of the track and it's history and changes it went through.

Ya I burned about half a gallon. I am about to rip the buggy down now. the A3's just don't cut it in that motor. I had to try. ran better with mc59 or mc8, but hey, practice time is for experimenting. it sure threw the tuning off going to the sport plug though and it ran way hotter. the track drives great, even dusty, it wasn't that dusty. The changes you guys did, I love the step up, it takes a careful throttle and brake to get up the extended step. great addition. it's a lot of fun to drive on. once we get the little pebble rocks cleared out a few places, it will be awesome. so when is the triple coming to the drivers' stand going to be a quad? it's too easy to overshoot.... a double double would solve that and make it fun (I know Adam's idea, just wanted to bring it back up )

I would like to use those plastic half pipes for the quad but I need to meet with the rezst of CAM RC board because I think somebody mentioned that a drainage pool shoul be built in the center infield. That's the infield about half way up the straight.
Pit lane sure is nice and functional with that wide board and the 10 slots allocated for pitting.

That's because most of the things that get done to the track get done out of the blue without consulting with the track director. I think that we need to have a better procedure through which changes to the track are beeing done. That's why we have a Track Director after all.
If you have a plan for something... bring it forward and we'll talk about it.

concensus by majority for sure. no sense in laying blame now.... let's just keep improving. no matter what anyone thinks, the track is just getting better and better...
like Seb said, the pit lane is class, most of the track is better than we have driven on anywhere around the lower mainland in years, the jumps get a little change here and there to make them work.... that's called progress. if we keep progressing like this, people will come from all over to race with us.
now we just need to get the CORCS guys on board to hold the event. Like seriously, Kamikaze is the only track able to hold such an event around here. there's a decent amount of parking, lots of pitting areas and everything is in place. about the only thing the track needs is a portable bathroom to fit the rules requirements and that just needs a phone call to get it brought out.

Don't get me wrong, nobody is getting blamed, what I was saying is that I would like more structure as to what gets done within the club... for IE. I had a plan (because I'm track director) as to what areas of the track would get worked on first, second, third etc... What happend is that none of the dirt out of the 3 truck loads was ever used to build up the actual jumps that John was describing a problem about. I hope that makes sense... anyway there is no doubt that the track is sweet right now.... and it will continue to get better and better all the time but it will get there with 20% better organization.
I got some pictures today, at about 4:00pm ... I'll post them soon.

If you have a plan for something... bring it forward and we'll talk about it. I agree 100%. If people build on their own, without consulting then you are only progressing backwards. There has to be a simple solution to plan ahead. The track director is there for a reason.
