Its great to see that many of you racers are going to run the WCORCS. Remember that those of you racers from the lower mainland in BC.... DO NOT have to travel to a out of province race this year to run the Series because you are not holding a WCORCS event this season.
On another note, there will be camping at the track in Quesnel and I will have some info on hotels/motels for booking at cheaper rates as the season progresses. We also are doing some major changes to make the track better and the Final run smooth as possible. I am sure that it will be a great success.
If you have any questions regarding the Final in Quesnel please feel free to e-mail me at molsonindy@shaw.ca

DO NOT have to travel to a out of province race this year to run the Series because you are not holding a WCORCS event this season. Personally I think that people should get to some of the out of province tracks. The reddeer track is awsome. I haven't been to the Medicinehat track but I have seen pictures and it looks like a good track too. If you can get a few people together and do a Road trip like Inferno, RCDave, Ripper, Ballistic, Flatline__, Mr. Flibble and I did to Reddeer Winter Nationals then you can cut the costs down A LOT. (you don't need to go that drastic. 7 people. If you get four people together it should cut the costs down enough.) The Kelowna and Kamloops tracks are great too and they are only about 3-4 hours away. (depending on how you drive ;D) The final in Quesnel will be another roadtrip but it should be a blast. There is also a series across the line in washington and oregon. If you want to race then there is no shortage of races. If travel is a problem then Roger will be having racing at the Kamikazi track all summer. If you are concerned about not being good enough to race at one of the events then just look at me. I have run in a few of them and my driving skills are considered a lethal weapon. ;D anyone can race and there are lots of helpful people there to get you started and answer any questions about the race proceedures.

The edmonton race is also killer. Even though last years race was cancelled because of rain. I think it is bigger than red deer and very high speed. Hope to be able to do it again and actually run it this time.

Wintermute:
I agree with you 100%. If you can afford to travel to the races out of province you will have a great time, meet great people, and experience great racing too.
I apologize to all if you took my post to discourage out of province racing. That was not my intent. Not travelling to out of province races was just a perk for the lower mainland racers ONLY. This was decided last year at the Final because of no scheduled WCORCS race being held at the West Coast.
This was to help alleviate travelling costs to the lower mainland racers and still allow them to be eligible for the Series points run.
;D

I haven't raced outside of the Lower Mainland so I hope to get to a few out of town races also.
Just so happens I'm on a road trip to a Wedding in Sask for July 9th and will be in Edmonton at my sisters for the Edmonton race on July 2-3 so I'll definitely be packing my buggy and checking it out.
Hopefully I can make it out to Kelowna and Kamloops as well...
As I said never been to any out of town races so it would be nice to head out with some people that have already been to Kelowna or Kamloops...

Was in Edmonton for while that leg was on... managed to get to the track to watch the 1/8th B Main... didn't have a lot of time so that's all I caught...
Interesting how you're penalized for speeding in pit lane... 30 seconds I think...
I've only ever raced at the CAMRC track so seeing and watching on such a different type of track was very cool...

I am just changing my arrangements for the red deer trip now. my place to stay is still cool with me coming a week earlier than planned. I just have to convince the boss. I also need to make sure my parts will arrive in time. otherwise I will just leave early anyway and be there for fridays practice I guess.

I have to work my Friday shift so I get off Friday morning, have about 4 hrs sleep, go get parts then drive straight up. I'll be in Red Deer around 1 AM, probably more like 2 as I'll have to make a few stops since I am going alone this time. Can't wait to get my enclosed ultralight, then I can fly up in half the time. Next year baby I'll be flying myself to the races.
