I was racing in Belinghame at Mickes Rc today. It was great... ten 1\8 scales... it was killer.
I was on a TQ pace faster by 17 seconds than the old TQ. My pace was 19 in 5:03:XX but had 2 very bad wipe outs towards the end and qualified only 3rd. In the main race is made a nice pass on 2nd place only for him to come back and T bone me in the next corner. This allowed 4th place to sneak by too... Same ting happened 2 more times. In the end I finished 4th....
I and one more guy, we tied for the fastest lap. It was a 16.1
I also tunes an Americans car that kept on stalling ever 5 seconds and he was fine after that...
More luck next time... I'll just wait for them to make a mistake before I decide to pass... I just didn't pick the right strategy to end up in 1st.

wow some great racing today down at Mikes. There were no MT's only buggies, 2 heats and gas and electric truck. There were some fast guys down there. I only managed to qualify 6th out of the 8 buggies. I think seb qualified 5th just ahead of me. He didnt finish one of his qualifier cause his M8 radio wheel spring broke or something. I came back after the run and he had his radio in pieces on the table. The romanian tech guru somehow managed to get all the pieces back together and ready for the main. We pretty much spent the 3 qualifiers trying to setup our buggies to keep up to the other guys. They just seemed to be glued. Well Seb went over and took a look at their buggies and we saw that no matter what tuning we did we still wouldnt hook up as good as them. They had alittle unfair advantage. We took note and will implement that into our strategy next time There was some good hard racing during the main. It was pretty clean for having 7 buggies all running at once in the small track at Mikes. No long stories here on the 15 minute main. Seb finished 1st and I managed to take home 3rd place. All in all it was a very good race day. Both buggies performed flawlessly and are looking in good shape for the Kelowna race next weekend. Now to get some zzz's and wake up for work tmrw. Peace out JOKER

So what did you learn about setting up your buggy for that track? What were the others doing to get so hooked up?
Glad to hear you had a good day of racing. I would have liked to have went but I still do not have a charger... sent it out for repair... should be back this week I hope...

They were running Rear gas truck tires on buggy rims. Lower profile with a smal curviture to it and sticking out over the rim a bit. This enabled them to stay close to full throtle in the long turns and they seemed to come out of the corner a tad better.
I changed about 5 different things... my radio wheel kept on getting stuck + it had no neutral anymore so I didn't get to test the final changes in the last qualif.
I did make the right changes and it was realy good for the main. My pit strategy was good since we had one guy filling everybody up, so I went in early compared to the other guys + nobody else was in for fuel at the time so I didn't waste any time there.
I hope it doesn't rain next weekend. (Kelowna!)

So whos all coming to Mikes this weekend??
Racing will now be starting at 4pm instead of the usual 2pm starts. Hopefully it will attrack more peeps. Last week was a pretty good buggy turn out. There were 7 running.
So far this weekend it looks to be Myself, Seb, Mike K, Philip and maybe Bennyboy. If all these people can show up we will probably have an A and B main in buggy, NICE!!! ;D ;D
Anyone else interested in heading down post here. If you need a ride or directions we might be able to help you out with that too
