CAN'T WAIT FOR SUNDAY GUYS, so we can toss some dirt, eat barbequed smokies, take a walk down to the river, see my best friends, talk some smack, share some stories and enjoy another fine weekend, not to mention I am dying to see the new grass. Don't you mean Saturdays? Or did the day's change?

Well i for one have not heard any complaints come my way about the CAM RC track and nor do I have any. I think the track is good and like every other track I have been to there are good and bad . Lots of guys want to have a place to race and some just want a place to bash and not having more opportunity to use the tracks locally without it being a race day or scheduling the one day a week you can use it makes it difficult for the hobby to grow and enjoyment to be had. Some people may like it with fewer available days because it allows more people to gather on the same days making it like a mini race without scoring. Simply put, I am taking less time for racing right now personally and since I work most Saturdays it cuts down how much time I have for rc. I wish CAM RC had Sundays again so the two clubs could alternate weekends then I could race more. I have no complaints tho about the track or how it is run and i am sponsored if that says anything,...... cuz in the end it is all about having fun. Keep racing and support your local hobby shops.

LMAO, once again I stand corrected. yes saturday.
and Seb said it best, go out and see for yourself. an opinion is the thought of one person, a consensus is based on a majority. my opinion is to come to your own opinion. I am sponsored, but I did it backwards, I had a ****load of the brand before I got sponsored to drive them. means nothing except I like my stuff whether I was sponsored or not. what that means to track attendance though eludes me, other than we have a responsibility to attend the big races, but that responsibility also requires we support the local tracks as well. I try to lead by example when I am there. I have 3 more guys signing up for memberships for next year too. if we all try to bring a friend in, or two, we will keep growing. I am sure we all know someone that is sitting on the fence. grab them by the cahonies and drag them out. you might get resistance at first (unless they like that kind of thing, then run like hell when they smile at you) but they will be able to see for themselves. I have yet to bring someone out that doesn't get involved once they see the fun we have.

if you stop because of the bad turnout, then you are part of the reason why the turnout is bad. If you want to have lots of turnout, you have to show up and be part of the reason why there is lots of racers. Try to get your buddies to come out. Be enthusiatic with your posts regarding racing. Remember you're either part of the solution or part of the problem. There is no middle ground. BTW Sheldon, your body is at Race Tech as well as something else you left at the track - can't remember what it was....radio?

Hi Guys,
I have been reading this thread and I can't help but mention couple of points that may help in making the race more fun.
1). For the past 2 or 3 years that I have been racing, it has been really hard to find someone to pit for me in the A or B main. Because of this, I sometimes did not race the A or B main even though I was qualified. I may not know or be close friends to too many racers, but even so, why do I need to beg someone to pit for me? I noticed that who ever does not want to pit for me always give excuses like "Oh I got to do corner marshalling" or "Oh I already am pitting for someone else", etc... But when the next race comes around, I see the same person(s) pitting for 2 people or doing corner marshalling and pitting for someone. I think, this problem needs to be solved by the organizers. If a person(s) cannot find a pit person, the organizer should appoint someone instead of just listening to my complaints which I have done all too often.
2) There are some racers who cannot stop swearing when another truck/buggy is in the middle of his way by accident. If the truck/buggy is in first position and a truck/buggy is blocking, the person (in first) does not have to yell and swear. This suppose to be a fun race. So what if you did not get $15 or $10 or whatever it may be. Also, some racers do swear eventhough he is not in first place, but just thinks that he is the best racer and everyone should just get out of his way.

Dude, if I am not racing, you can ask me or my pitman to help out (I try to bring spares lol they might not be able to do more than fill, or you have to show them how to start your rc)...
I think the swearing has curbed down as none of us much like that. pretty chill atmosphere. some guys are always going to get the adrenaline going in a competitive event, it's just human nature. some guys go too far bitchin' but most realize they were wrong...
best solution to not complaining about a corner marshal is to not wipe out. now who's fault was it then? LMAO
see ya out there dude
