Turnout wasn't bad considering the extremly bad weather.
There were also 2 people who bought monster trucks because they have seen the racing action this past Saturday.
That's about it, let hope that two weeks is long enough for the weather to get better.

I’m sorry I missed it. In fact, I’ve only made it to one race when you guys first opened the track at the new location. I had a great time and have been looking forward to going ever since but never made it for several reasons. This season looks more promising, however, there is still one reason that holds me back. The fact that you need “pit person”. I remember running up and down the driver stand stairs 4 times because my engine repeatedly flamed out during a race until someone finally volunteered to hold my Savage in the air until I got into position.
Someone once suggested that the organizers appoint someone to pit the same way they do for corner marshaling. Or better yet, make an announcement that “X amount of racers are needing a pit partner, who would like to volunteer” before the race starts. I’m sure one person could easily pit for two people.
I was just wondering if this issue has been addressed or if it would be considered. I would love to come out to some races this season. I can’t wait! Track looks great!

Yea, this issue has been addressed.
Amouncements will be made if you are unable to find someone as a pit person. I was about to pit for 3 people myself this past race weekend.

It was announced over the PA, and we had a drivers' meeting to discuss this very thing steve. and as always, I offer my pitman up to help lol. he always comes out. his shoulder is screwed from a car accident, so can't do corner marshalling, but loves to be in the pits helping out. he is getting really good with engine tuning as well.
so just bring out the toys and we will surely get you hooked up. I have pitted for multiple people in big races without a problem as well, like Seb mentioned.... not to worry, come on out. growing pains always sees a little disorganized times. I think CAMRC has come a long way over the years and the guys running the show are racers and think like racers. cya on the track steve.

I'd have made it if my buggy wasn't in a million pieces for cleaning after the last race! It's like a new kit, but covered in mud...

My lst2 had at least a pound of dirt stuck in it after qualifying. I had a blast too bad the mains were rained out.

I hardly had any dirt in my buggy, I think it runs better if I leave the dirt on the track but that's just me.. hahaha
I want to run my buggy so bad.. do I date to ask for a race this weekend if the dirt spreading is done by Friday night, along with the other track impruvements ...

let's test and make some jumps this weekend. we are just spreading dirt, there is still some building to go. the right side of the track (from the drivers' stand) needs some challenge

I won't too do it right the first time we may get some play time on Saturday But just think of what we will be racing on next weekend and most of the Major work will be done for this year just Some miner stuff

One thing is for sure, when you see the track next time around you'll think you died and went to heaven.
- Underground water drainage is getting installed. - The infields are going to get leveled\proper for better drainage and seeded. - More lane dividers are to be installed - Several burms are going to get put in as well.
The support for the track has been and still is phenomenal. Lots of donations from people who can afford it and want to make a difference and everybody else donated a lot of time to work on the track and get it to the level it's at right now. The new CAM RC web site will have more detailed info on this, along with a timeline and stages the track went through the past 3 years.
Short story shorter.... we're gonna have some sweet off-road racing this year.
