We had a meeting with the Kathy R.and Geoff M. (city reps) at the track this evening to discuss the suggested track layout. There are some minor things to work on, some extra things we can do to minimize any enviromental impact that may happen, but for the most part it went pretty well. We will get a more formal list of things to look at, but it shouldn't be a big concern. Also, the dirt has been tested for contaminants and has been given the ok to use by the city. We are now arranging to have the dirt brought into the track area so that it may be distributed to areas needed. Being that this information comes so close to the upcoming event, there will be only work done to fix holes etc... After the race, there will be notices of any upcoming work parties and other information. We will post that on the cam rc web site: www.camrc.ca[/size]

if we had tools, people and such we could do some work friday morning. if we could contact all members (and non members through the grapevine) to come and help, we could get a good work party and have it looking mighty fine by friday afternoon for practice. I am sure everyone would appreciate that for this special event. I don't plan on running friday anyway.

There is ALOT of dirt on the track, special thanks to CEWE and RELIABLE FLAGGING SERVICES for their assistance!
Friday after 1:00 and Saturday after noon are work days, so bring your shovels, rakes, wheelbarrows or just show up, there should be lots of tools. I will try to post some pic's up, but im not 100% sure how to.
If I'm not there, heres the plan.
-Level the infield jumps and bumps but mark where they were, we will rebuild them but from scratch. (Don't break down the big jump or the landing)
-Sift and put a 6" base around the entire track
-Rebuild the infield jumps
- Build up the area where the BIG pile of dirt is to a maximum of 3 feet.
-The rest will be taylored when we get there.
PLEASE SIFT ALL DIRT BEFORE LAYING IT ON THE TRACK!
Thanks and see you all out there!

YES!!!! this is the way it should be done, great work guys. This track will be awesome once it is done and with the rocks being gone before the track is finished it will be awesome. I will try to come out if I can but personal issues right now are keeping me kinda sidelined.

There was lots of work done on the track Saturday! Most of the dirt is spread out and now just needs to be leveled. We had reneted a Skidsteer (CAT's version of a Bobcat) which greatly helped in the speed of dirt distribution. Unfortunaltey, it tends to chew up the ground a bit and the existing track layout doesn't really show up well.
Thanks to EVERYONE who showed up to help.
There is still more work to be done, so this Tuesday, Friday we should get it done.

I think Mr Flible is so nice that he is keeping everyone from the reality that the track really really needs a lot of work. The dirt where the person is red stands is 8 feet high by 20 feed wide... the picture makes it look smaller but it's not. I anybody wants to race anytime soon... then you may want to participate in rebuilding this thing. THIS IS HOW WE LEFT IT ON SATURDAY. JULY 09, 2005

I'd be glad to lend a hand with the track next Saturday, if anyone can give me a lift there & back from downtown.

I'f I'm in the area, I could give you a ride. Ronny could do it too if he is available Saturday.
Jason J could probably do it too, or Sam
