Sorry John. I stayed awake and was actually on my way out to pick up Val again and do some work with you. I got dizzy while driving Kevin home (we took a drive by the VMAR track in the morning). Long week near killed me. I used to be able to pull all nighters. I can't even do it for 1 day anymore. damned age. riding that bike every night at work.... I never claimed to be in good shape. hope my rc's hold up better than my human form

I went for a dive into the river and forgot my Powerade under a rock while I was waiting for it to kool. Then I went home cuz my meighbour made me noodle soup.
Man, my team worked like Swedish clockwork, it was awsome to watch you guys take care of bussines... just great, pitstops, car & driver swaps, it was as if we practiced for it.

I spent a couple of hours at the track on Tuesday after the rain. The track had no puddles at all on it - amazing. I raked the rocks out of the infield near the timing loop and then seeded the area. Also I rebuilt the triple double area. Now that the dirt is wet it packed down really nice. Track should be pretty good for this weekend if it stays damp.

We took a ton of rocks and small stones off the track on Sunday. We also seeded another 2 areas of track. It's going to look awesome in a few weeks when the grass is up. There's way fewer rocks on the track now. The straight is much smoother and the approach to the big jump after the straight is smoooth now and the jump itself is much improved. Lots of Monster Trucks are easily clearing the double. 1/8 scales might have a shot at making the triple now.

The grass I planted last Tuesday is starting to come up. The track is going to look awesome when the grass is all up since the lanes will be clearly defined. Yahoo!!

I am just going to do some running around then heading out to the track with Val again. He is dying to get some laps in and I will bring a rake and shovel. I need to do work to get ready to race this weekend on my truck. I'll bring it along and check it over. Just need an mgt header and I have my small block good to go though .

I think the condition is at an all time best and it seems that every saturday I go it just gets better ;D. The new grass that was planted looks great, cant wait to see when it thickens up. Maybe we can get some new pics up that show the work that has made kamikaze a great place to practice and race.

Yeah, the track is looking good, probably in the best shape ever ( and still getting better every week)

I tried it out on tues. Feb.07 it's still okay. I raked up some of the rocks and pebbles from the 3 months of straight rain we've had and weakly anchored the plastic runners that demarcates the lanes. All the jumos are intact. It's still easy enough to clear the table top with the first jump but the rythumn series of smaller jumps are somewhat worn.
It's quit runable and I ran a 1/8 scale for 2 1/2 hrs. Saturday reportedly is to be a clear day so all of you with withdrawl symptoms should go out there and run.
Perfect conditions today (felt like 12C with partial cloud cover) not too wet where the dirt is like mud and sticks adding pounds to your ride or not dry so it's a dust pit. I didn't even need to clean up after I ran.

I went out today and there were a few familiar faces there. The track is in great shape. We cleaned a lot of rocks and leaves up today on the left side and infield anyway. Again there was Mr Flibble out there busting his arse as usual. I bought Greg Yigit's compressor tonight so cleaning up was a lot easier than usual Welcome Jeff and Doug to CAMRC. They signed up today as first time members The Telemetry unit was a lot of fun to tinker with and the lap counter works flawlessly. I just have to get the rpm sensor lined up better (or I will just go by center dif gear). The Sirio I broke in today at the track and was running rich. this thing has scream potential, holy **** eh Seb? 188 degrees and lots of power. it was only 203 and 210 at most when I ran out of gas a couple times, both under throttle.... gotta love that power boost though waaahhhhh .... ok I am stoked. it was so NICE out today and the smeel of nitro was like heaven.

I am not a member. Can I still run at the track? Tomorrow is my day off. Can I take my truck out to the track and run it?
