Here is the plan for this Saturday.
Installing non biodegradable boards along the entire length of the straight away. (already have the material for this)
Also replacing existing boards.
Other stuff can be done if you get bored or the board installing is not for you.
- installing the remaining edging.

The first race of the season is Saturday, April 1st. This leaves 2 more weekends to get things done. 1) the installation of the non-biodegradable soft wall along the straight is complete. 2) the bollards have been manufactured and need to get installed sometime before the end of the month. 3) the removal/replacement of the old wall in front of the spectators stand also needs to get done before the end of the month. All of these are items that need to get done in order for CAM RC to get the 2006 facility use license. The track is in great shape but can always get better... as this years track director I'm asking everyone to pitch in and help shape some of the things that still need some attention. Tools are available at the track but bring your own if you can. Track maintenence and play day again next Saturday.

Here is what the track should look like once the grass comes out. Local racing is going to be very good this year... and we'll have a very nice track for all the racing to take place on. Some of the features are: - flat and wide lanes for many different line choices - one huge jump - a triple (possibly a quad) - several elevation changes - long and wide straight away with a roll down transition - straight away wall made of extra slippery plastic so cars that touch it don’t really lose speed. - one long half circle shaped section which is excellent for passing - "S" chicane - custom pit lane at three feet of ground level - about 30 sec. lap times for easy fuel management - lots of room for racers and their equipment - AMB lap counting system (supports personal transponders) - automatic sprinkler system (to be installed) - pre sifted dirt to be delivered soon for an even better surface and sweet burms. All this for $20 dollar annual membership….

This season is shaping up to be bloody amazing! I'll have to see how things go for the rest of the week, but I'll try hard to make it out again on Saturday for another day of track work (and tuning Should be getting my Spektrum modules back on Friday, freshly upgraded with the latest firmware).

Ahhhhh yes it's looking good all right , but i got this body that is real sick and i was hoping someone could help me out. It's looking pale and thin and i think it's in need of medical attention before the season begins. Does anyone have an airbrushiscope ? Maybe you could diagnose it for me ?

I have to work. I'll be out Tuesday to do some work on the track. I won't have anything to run but I will help some people tune up and do some track work for the day. I will have weekends off next month for racing. By then I will have something to run.

The bollards are to replace the big rocks at the entrance to the track.
The track is great... myself, Philip & Ben were changing things around on the buggies and testing and it was a fun day changing things around on the cars to get them set up.
Tuesday should be a good day for practice because after that, the dirt that gets delivered may block parts of the track before it's spread around.
I will post more info about that because man power is needed to get the dirt placed on the track.

Track is draining very nicely. Some big O will be installed in various spots under the surface to help water drain. Wee need about 50 feet for now.
One truck load of black dirt with no rocks at all has been dropped at the track. This dirt was paid for\donated by Sam.
This dirt will be used for: 1) complete the triple so the plastic pipes are not visible anymore. (this is the small triple) 2) make a nice landing area on\after the last jump of the triple (this is the small triple) 3) level the straight away even more. 4) adding a layer of fresh dirt on several parts of the track... and by several I mean about 70% of the track where it's needed the most.
All right, this is the latest and greatest so far... today and Saturday are on for track maintenance \ play days. There are tools at Race Tech if you feel like making the track pretty. (start with #1 on the list)
