I'll be there tomorrow. All I need to do is remember to get up early enough - unlike last week.

I will be out tuesday. I work tonight and tomorrow. I am actually working the 23rd for someone else, and I traded that for the first so I don't have to work after racing. I will just fix what's left to do when I get there. my rides will be here this week, I am giddy

Yeah, today was an awesome day for track work & tuning. The track is looking fantastic now - the ruts, bumps, and uneven areas are all gone.. nothing but a smoooooth racing surface! I still managed to flip at just about every corner though. I have quite a lot of tuning still to go on my engine, which I'm hoping to get done next weekend - I had a bit of bad luck towards then end of the day, with the rear centre drive shafts grub screw coming loose and causing a bearing to wander away and a tire coming unglued (all my other tires aren't glued yet).

dam, sounds like fun. I picked up a set of panther chameleons to try out on my buggy. I wish I had realized my buggy came with rims but not tires lol. I wanted to try a set of Medial Pros. Going to order up a couple sets of those to try as well. They have some really cool tread patterns to play with...
anyway, leave me a list of things needed after the weekend since there probably won't be too many people when I get there Tuesday. There's always the obvious stuff like cleaning up the areas around the track...
Oh ya WHERE'S THE PICS?

I've been trying out Chameleons too - they're the ones that came unglued yesterday. I can't really compare them to much yet as I haven't tried anything else. However, I found myself flipping in a lot of corners - not sure if it's the tires having too much side bite or just my set up (I'm running a fair bit of negative camber already with not-too-high ride height, so am leaning towards the tire). I'd be very interested in hearing your impression of the tires! The next set I'll be trying are either Panther Komodo Draggon 2's (very similar to Crime Fighters), or Crime Fighters (likely the last I'll try as I know they work from everyone else using them). I'll aim for getting the Chameleons re-glued & balanced, and both the KD2's and CFs glued & balanced for next weekend, so I can try them all. I'm also really interested in trying Proline's new Step-Up (step pins) tires, as I can see them working well on Kamikaze's new surface. Really, I just want to get new Proline tires as they all come with molded inserts now - no more trimming! I'm not Seb, but I think we really could do with better marking of lanes - even just getting the edging put in some areas again would be a good start. YEAH!!! C'mon Seb!

Excellent weekend. I've never seen this many people help out.. EVER.. must have been close to 40. I must say I like this new wave of RCers that don't shy away from a little work that benefits the hobby and also the RCers. The work got done quickly with everybody helping. That left plently of time to run. I ran for 63 minutes straight... lots of fun. April 1st is first race day. Download a membership application sheet from www.camrc.ca if you want to become a member. This is not required to race, but it is required if you wish to use the track on non race days.

I commend all of you that put the effort in. the track looks spectacular. by the sounds of things, membership will be way up this year and the members are all getting involved like it used to be
I see this as the best year of racing we have had in a long long time. that's all due to the excellent people that have helped to "make it so".... engage

Membership count is up not the actual membership which is still $20 for the year for this sweet track....
I hope the rain stops soon so that some details can be taken care of to make the track look and feel even better.
I know the bollards got painted I'm just not sure if they have been installed yet.
April 1st is 9 days away.... first race day!

Well, the track is 100 times better than it ever was.
It's nice to see that so many people are willing to donate some time to help with the track and now you have an awesome RC track with wide lanes, smooth surface, all sorts of jumps and terrain changes, pit lane with 10 marked pit stalls and lots more...
Also, this year we had a $365 dollar donation from Sam H. towards improving the track surface. He's the guy driving the blue Subaru or the silver Protege5.
Race Tech is also continuing to donate equipment use to the club, AMB lap counting system, personal transponder supported, speakers, laptop, mixer, mike, printer, water pump, generator, weed whacker, and the funds for the underground sprinkler system for the track and the list goes on...
There are also some new RCers who are looking at donating about $600 toward some more of the non biodegradable board to further improve the track...
People... keep it up and let me know if you feel rested because we'll bring in one or 2 more truck loads of that awsome dirt we got just 3 weeks ago.

oh! That's what I've forgotten to pick up - thanks for the reminder. hah, yeah. On the bright side, all this rain today really highlighted where the uneven parts of the track surface are and should give us a good idea of which bits need the most work. I also noticed today that a lot of work was done last week on marking the lanes, woohoo! With a little luck, I might stay on the track now..

Every time I take new pictures of the track the next day I hear that more impruvements have been made...
People have been out painting and working on the retaining wall by the start finish line.
The surface is awsome and ready for some action before more dirt get's delivered on a Tuesday so that there is time to spread the dirt around before the Saturdays race day.
