A little help at the track

Hi all,

This year is going to be a great year in offroad and everybody is encuraged to participate in getting the offroad Kamikaze track in top condition for racing.

Here is the first thing we need to get done before the sifted dirt gets brought in.

Chuck rocks from the infield areas anywhere outside the track area... that's it for now... so if you got a few minutes.. please do this it will help a lot in the long run.

Chuck DOES rock , but he doesn't come out much anymore

I need to come to shop today and pay my membership dues and afterwards i'm heading out to the track to have a look.

Ditto! I can't help out at the track today however - next weekend maybe, as it looks like the snowboarding season's done with for the year.

We did a ton today. my body is tired now. I cleaned my muddy truck then tossed it on the shelf. the body and tires are in the sink hehe.

Track is looking awesome !

Sorry I couldn't get out there sooner to help , but I will come out next weekend and see what I can do.
Hope you come out more this year Pipe.

More people showed up and more got done than I expected.

This year there weren't as many rocks on the track as in the previews years. This past Saturday all the rocks that could have been removed were loaded up and moved off. The track is ready for the new (sifted) dirt and for the plastic bariers.

Almost forgot, the rebuilding of jums has started, the rithem section is done!

There wil be another post before Saturday to let everyone know what's next in terms of track impruvements.

See you guys out there on saturday. we should have a good turnout. I know of 5 allready coming out so we should be able to get the balance cleaned up and maybe make a few jumps to make the track interesting

Here is a list or some items that people want to see on the track.

1) a big burm
2) a triple (that you can clear close to full throtle)
3) grass

We'll try to get the one of those items done this Saturday.

Add me to this list - I should be able to make it some time around 1.

Seb - won't (1) and (2) require more dirt to arrive, and (3) really should be done last, after the dirt is put down? Or has the dirt already arrived?

We just need to move a little dirt around. Make sure the wheelbarrow shows up.
the split level switchback area needs some cleaning too so I will start there and any excess dirt we can pile up for the jumps.

basically steal some dirt from some places to make the jump. around the edges and along the high walls etc is extra dirt. sure we could use a little more dirt but we can still make some jumps. and grass could be planted in the areas we have allready cleaned up so it's all good.

We'll use a plastic thing at the core of the jumps so no dirt gets wasted.

For this seaction the dirt that there is in that corner will be enough.

Here is what we have done so far. It was snowing today so it wasn't good for driving... mind you one crazy man was out there getting his truck muddy.

A new set of triples was added to the center. This can be singled, doubled and the brave can go for the triple.

We filled in the straight along the front of pit lane. it still needs some dirt but it is a smooth surface with a slight bank to come around the corner off the triple and setup for the step up. It was an ocean today. You can also see tha banked burm we started coming back around the opposite way into the sweeping corner. There will be a lot of speed through this corner with a few lines to choose from. We also fixed most of the track borders and prepped the areas to plant grass.... since it was SNOWING it was too cold to plant the grass today

And lastly, here is a video to show a lap around. The gang kept working after this stuff was taken and finished a lot of the stuff up.... guys we rock. the track looks freaking awesome!!!
